Sponsor Gary’s Red Tie
Yup, its that time of the year again. The holiday season is almost upon us and u know what that means. I’ll be going to literally a TON of tech parties/events/mixers/shindigs over the next few weeks. (Yes, even more than I usually do. Yes, trust me its all work ;). Anyhoo, I realized that I have all this valuable ultra premium advertising real estate on my red tie. So like any self-respecting, hustling entrepreneur, the obvious next step is of course to monetize this baby, yeah! I’m looking for around three to five sponsors (first come, first served). I’ll put your awesome logo sticker on my red tie and also talk up your company to people I typically encounter at events … venture capitalists, super angels, entrepreneurs, media execs, bloggers, starry-eyed autograph-seeking groupies etc). Got u all hot ‘n bothered? Itching to get a piece of the tie action? Then give me a holler at gary [at] garysguide [dot] com.

London Calling
The good folks at the UK Trade & Investment are doing something awesome. They’re bringing over a whole bunch of cool digital media, marketing, tech, mobile startups and companies from across the pond to our little city to give them a flavor of what Silicon Alley and the NYC tech & startup community is all about. So go check ‘em out!

Deals, Deals and Mo’ Deals
As always, here’s a bunch of deals & discounts on awesome tech events just for you.

Ok, now lets see what crazy parties are going down in the Alley this week… (And speaking of parties here’s a bonus drinking game: do a tequila shot every time u encounter the word “party” below ;) Read More

Meanwhile, back in the New York start-up scene.

GET A JOB. We won’t include a who’s hiring item in this roundup, as the Silicon Alley Talent Fair is tomorrow. The Fair features more than 100 companies and over 1,000 applicants, organizers say. It begins at noon and ends at 6 p.m. at the 69th Regiment Armory on 26th and Lexington. There is an afterparty somewhere with ping pong; they put up photos of the venue to prove it exists. Volunteers were still needed as of yesterday. Read More
