Another Occupy Wall Street Hack: ‘I’m Getting Arrested’

getting arrested

From the Brooklyn Paper via Daily Intel comes this Android app from a Brooklyn-based developer to complement our list of Occupy Wall Street hacks and apps. The app, called “I’m Getting Arrested,” was inspired by a friend’s near-arrest. “It made Anden wonder how he would have known if someone close to him had actually been detained,” Brooklyn Paper writes. “Alert your lawyer, loved ones, etc … that you are being arrested with a click,” says the app’s description. “‘I’m Getting Arrested’ enables anyone, with one click, to broadcast a custom message to SMS numbers in the event they are arrested.” The app currently supportsĀ Catalan, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Turkish.
