Hang on, we're popping popcorn.

It's now something of a celebrity rite of passage, as well as a downright pleasant way to while away an afternoon. But while it's perfectly delightful to see Woody Harrelson faceplant at Q&A, we've noticed that there are several interesting requests piling up, just aching to become hours of entertainment. In fact, here are a few we'd officially approve and would please like to see.

1. Someone who won at McDonald's Monopoly

If only to provide an excuse to continue buying the hash browns.

2. A COPS cameraman

We'd also like to request cameramen from Jerry Springer, Real Housewives of New Jersey, and Planet Earth.

3. "Someone who had sex with a hot girl in their area as a result of clicking on an ad on a porn website"

Though we rather doubt that such a human being exists.

4. Someone who knows Kim Jong Un from his European sojourn 

Also, we'd like some pictures of him looking at major landmarks.

5. Scumbag Steve

Hey, he showed up to ROFLcon.

6. One of Michelle Bachmann's foster kids

Admit it, you're curious.

7. Someone who left a band, which then hit it big 

We know you're out there and probably a redditor.

Reddit's "IAmA" question-and-answer sessions can be thorny territory for celebrities brave enough to wade into the seething, snarking masses. Redditors who catch the scent of bald PR stunts can rhetorically (and gleefully) crap on promotions-friendly scripts and set them on fire. Comedian, author and Expedia.com naked traveler Michael Ian Black has just braved the wilds of the web's premiere link aggregator and as far as we can tell, survived.

Reflecting on Woody Harrelson's no-good, very bad Reddit experience a few months ago, Betabeat asked Mr. Black to comment on the session.

He told us he was familiar with the IAmA sub-Reddit but not a frequent visitor to the site in general. "But," he said, "I heard they have a subgroup for Furries so I'll probably be there a lot more often in the future."

Regarding his reasons for the IAmA, Mr. Black said, "I would never do one of those for kicks. It was too stressful trying to keep up." The IAmA, he said, was "definitely for my new book."

Mr. Black, who has an active Twitter presence, is promoting the book he co-wrote with professional Blonde Republican Pundit Meghan McCain, America, You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom.

Questions posed to Mr. Black went in unpredictable directions. Mr. Black, who first achieved notice as a cast member on MTV's mid-1990s comedy improv show The State, rolled with the punches. "They were pretty good questions, for the most part," he told Betabeat, "I mean, what are you supposed to ask somebody other than the normal questions about career or stupid jokey questions."

"I was more interested in the stupid jokey questions," Mr. Black said, "But only because the career-related ones were so familiar to me."

Mashable aggregated some of the funnier exchanges, like the following, which had the added advantage of explaining the conception of the book Mr. Black wrote with Ms. McCain:

unequalized: How did your roadtrip/book project with Meghan McCain come about? Is she as down-to-earth and not-as-nuts-as-her-last-name-implies as she comes across on Twitter? Also, since you were part of MTV in the ’90s, what’s your take on the shitshow it has become now?

One night, I was on Ambien and got on Twitter. Saw that she was on too, and asked her if she wanted to write a book together. (We’d only met, one time, over satellite.) So we didn’t know each other before we agreed to write America, You Sexy Bitch. We just decided to do it on a whim and hit the road together for a month. And yes, she is both as down-to-earth and crazy as you would think.

On Twitter, Mr. Black recently complained of a virulent case of poison ivy:

We asked him if this apparently Ebola-like strain of ivy had any effect on his ability to answer Redditors' questions. Mr. Black said, "It's not Ebola. It's the leprosy strain. It means that my limbs are going to fall off in the itchiest way possible." Mr. Black said his severe poison ivy did affect his typing during the IAmA. His fingers, he said, were "bubbly from oozing pus, which is worse for keyboards than Diet Dr. Pepper, and only half as delicious."

As Redditors might do in any given IAmA thread, we strayed off-topic and asked Mr. Black about the Twitter war he started a couple of years ago with actor and director LeVar Burton, of Star Trek: Next Generation and Reading Rainbow fame.

Mr. Black was solemn. "I will always be at war with LeVar," he said,  "It is now America's longest Twitter war, eclipsing even the Alexander Hamilton-Aaron Burr Twitter War of 1801-1804."

Mr. Burton, who will be one of the celebrity presenters at Apple's upcoming WWDC, is traveling and has not returned our request for comment.

We will update this post if Mr. Burton gets back to us or Mr. Black is indeed discovered frequenting the Furries sub-Reddit.

However, Redditors who visited the site today note the subreddit is still there, subscribers in place. "As you have noticed IAmA is still around," Mr. 32bites wrote. "This is mostly due to the fact that i feared retalitation, while at work today I received a number of phone calls from people telling me that they hated my guts, trying to buy the subreddit from me, and a number of people trying to get in to different accounts of mine with the password reset tools."

He passed the reins to another user, karmanaut. Manager Erik Martin managed the changeover. "The creator wanted to shut it down but the outcry and mods talked him down," he told Betabeat in an email. "It's back to relative normalcy now."

Outstanding requests for IAmAs include actor Michael C. Hall, "family member of a porn star," and Billy West, who is the voice of Zoidberg on Futurama.

If you want things done right, sometimes you have to do them yourself. Yes, Dennis Crowley, co-founder of Foursquare, and the public face of the company, wrote the original code that powered the service when it debuted at SXSW in March of 2009. But when Foursquare's first hire, Harry Heymann, arrived at the company, he didn't waste any time.

"I didn't write the original version of the Foursquare code that went live with launch in March '09. Dennis did that and it was in somewhat poorly written PHP (Dens will be the first to tell you that programming isn't his strong suit)," Mr. Heymann wrote on Reddit's IAmA this afternoon. "After Dennis and Naveen started the company in 2009 I was their first hire. I started by re-writing the entire server as fast as I could."

Since this is Foursquare, a company who's mission is to inspire users to get away from their computers and out adventuring in the real world, coding is on a strict schedule. "We deploy 4 times a week: Monday - Thursday," writes Mr. Heymann. "No deploy (generally) on Friday because it's our highest traffic day and it's also nice to have things settled a bit before the wkd when folks are less available in case of a problem."

Remember, this from a man whose motto is "I turn beer into software", although as he explains, connecting with merchants is part of what Foursquare needs to do. "About half the time Dens is at a bar he's actually working/having a meeting."

Mr. Heymann dips briefly into his personal history--Best friend's dad taught me to code (he was an AP CS teacher) when I was little. Undergrad at CMU. Microsoft (hated it), startup you haven't hear of, Google. Met Dennis through mutual friends. Worked together for a while when he was @ Google on dodgeball-- before talking about how managing a team of thirty at a company now valued at $600 million has changed his life.

"Worst thing is that Foursquare has invaded my life 24-7. I never stop thinking about it ever. Not being able to turn that off sucks sometimes. Also the pressure to meet our potential is pretty big. Scary sometimes. Don't want to screw it up. I really miss coding. I like to think I was pretty good at it, and I'm not sure yet about management. But I try to look at it as a new challenge.  I read a lot about management and get a lot of advice from mentors (quick shout out to Ben Horowitz who is my savior) and just generally try to work really hard to do the best I can."

Reddit user Samdumb got the trolling started. "I think that's misleading. You and your co-owner are both employees and are presumably receiving the vast majority of that money."

Spolsky fires back. "There are a couple of dozen owners of Fog Creek. My co-founder (Michael) and I started 3 years before almost everyone else, so we have more seniority (e.g. I have 10 years, the most senior employee has 7). But we're not even close to receiving "the vast majority of that money." That's not the way we roll."

Bring it on Samdumb. "I find it hard to believe that of the millions that Fog Creek makes in revenue per year you and your partner are not taking the majority of that. Whether it be through large salaries, bonuses, dividends, or some other mechanism.
You're making it sound like you make just a bit more money per year than the oldest employees, which is very doubtful."

A Fog Creek employee steps in to defend Spolsky. "Because our revenues are publicly available--in real time, no less!--to employees at the company, it's really easy to do a back-of-the-napkin calculation to see whether this is actually how Joel and Michael are running the company. And it turns out that, yep, sure is. I'm sorry that someone actually doing what they say they're doing is hard to swallow, but that just is what's going on here. Sorry there's no scandal to point at."
