This Kickstarter Wants Your Money to Create a Life-Sized Hologram, Because Princess Leia

L.A.-based Provision 3D Media would like to create a life-sized hologram that could float around your living room without any sort of technological smoke and mirrors. And so of course, the company has launched a Kickstarter campaign (via Mashable) in order to raise the $950,000 needed to develop a working prototype, basically. (They’re currently at $11,418 with 18 days to go.)

The company promises they can actually pull this big promise off: “We’ve successfully developed, produced, and are continuing to ship Holographic displays ranging from 3 inches all the way up to 52 inches in size,” and now they just want the scratch to scale it up.
