(Screengrab via HBO)

On last night’s Silicon Valley, the guys visited TechCrunch Disrupt to present Pied Piper. Their highly anticipated conference debut didn’t quite go as planned, though. Erlich’s meticulously planned, overly theatrical presentation ended soon after it had begun when a judge tackled him from across the stage.

This got us thinking: what are some other examples of presentations that have livened up the tech conference scene, for good or ill? A day full of panels and demos at SXSW or CES can get boring fast, after all. ‘Silicon Valley’ Ep. 1 Recap: This Is Basically ‘Lord of the Rings’

siliconvalley09

Last night, sandwiched between a brand new Game of Thrones season opener and a delightful Veep premiere, HBO regaled viewers with Silicon Valley, Mike Judge’s new show about the eponymous tech epicenter.

Tech and entertainment junkies alike are practically frothing at the mouths over the premier of Silicon Valley, which debuts at South by Southwest today — and it turns out the show will have some Easter eggs in store for tech types.

Co-creator Mike Judge said the new show will be the anti-Entourage, which could be good or bad (but definitely not as bad as Betas, sry Amazon) on Friday during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Read More
