It's graduation day at the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, and the audience for the demos--heavy on the enterprise offerings, but with a buzzy online dating startup spicing up the proceedings--was the biggest we've seen it. Betabeat arrived at the IAC HQ even later than usual and so found ourselves relegated to the standing-room-only section, behind a small mob of dudes with messenger bags.

Sidling up to a table, we almost bumped into the fashionably attired cofounder of Trendalytics, practicing her speech in a mutter and pacing the floor in sky-high nude heels.

"The problem with all online dating sites is they're based on introducing users to strangers," said cofounder Joel Rodriguez, but 70 percent of people meet their significant others through friends. So the site piggybacks off your social networking connections. If you indicate you like someone and he/she does the same, Acquaintable makes the connection. 15 percent of beta users returned daily.

Plus, the site has 20 percent more women than top competitors. Probably because there's no one asking for pictures of their feet.

Consignd "We let anyone--whether they're bloggers, pinners, or even you--open an online store." So many twee bloggers are about to make so much money off Anthropologie it's not even funny.

Easy Pairings Nothing like a little non-tech-industry experience to help you find a sticky wicket you can solve for an enterprise client. Darren Wan is the co-owner of Red Egg in Chinatown, and after years of sorting through massive piles of resumes, he now wants to make it easier to hire front-of-house restaurant staff. Hence Easy Pairings, a mobile service that aims to automate much of the process of finding active job seekers with the necessary qualifications. This one looks promising.

TheSquareFoot Speaking of real estate: Here's a platform devoted to the commercial business, connecting prospective tenants to landlords and other providers.
Vocalizelocal These guys deliver "marketing tools and services to local businesses that improve the way they manage their customer reviews, local directors, and mobile presence." That's a tough nut to crack.

Trendalytics Clearly we've used up most of the one-word domains, and now we're well into the age of the portmonteau. Now all they have to do is convince fashion types they don't want to rely on intuition alone.

SHUTTER. Luminance is not your average photography conference. Instead of focusing on the latest gear, this two-day program will bring together experts at the forefront of the technology we use to create, manipulate and share our images. Among the speakers are Behance founder Scott Belsky, Hipstamatic cofounder Lucas Allen Buick, Google's Chris Chabot, Pulitzer prize winning photographer Barbara Davidson, Tumblr <del>CEO</del> president John Maloney, Facebook Photos engineer Srinivas Narayanan and the School of Visual Art's David Ross. All speakers will present a 20-minute TED-style lecture.

TOE, HEEL, TOE, HEEL. What Not to Wear's Stacy London is the cofounder of a just-launched site that aims to connect personal stylists with the stylistically clueless. Style For Hire stylists will perform a "closet audit," provide personal shopping services or create new outfits out of clothes a customer already has—that's called closet shopping. Now women who aren't lucky enough to be on the show can still have their closets—and lack of fashion sense—torn apart, but without the benefit of a judgmental, national audience.

FREE LUNCH. Rickshaw Dumplings, Mexicue and Wafels & Dinges are giving away food tomorrow to all Fondu users. Download the the micro-reviewing platform for restaurants, create an account and head to West 4th and Greene Street from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to get your grub on. Sorry to all you Android or yet-to-adopt-a-smartphone users out there—Fondu is only available on iOS.

INCUBATE. The Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, a program that provides startup with access to seed capital, mentors and coworking space, is taking applications until April 29th. Brooklyn Beta's summer camp for designer-developer teams is also taking applications through May 31. The 12-week program fosters connections between talented people, invests $25,000 in participating companies and has advisors from top companies like Kickstarter, Airbnb, Union Square Ventures, Etsy and many others.

HACK 'ROUND THE CLOCK. ZocDoc HQ will be the launching point for April 24th's 10gen 24-hour hackathon. The event, which begins at 568 Broadway at 6 p.m., will focus on working with MongoDB. Hack away until breakfast the next day at 9 a.m. and then hack your way to the post-awards afterparty at Von Bar.

DEVBOOTCAMP. DevBootcamp is a 10-week program that brings non-programmers up to basic programming level via an intensive curriculum. It's in San Francisco, but the organizers invite national and international students to apply. Participants include an aerospace engineer, a kid "straight out of highschool," a math teacher and finance grads, making for a veritable DevBreakfastClub. "The spring cohort finished two weeks ago, 7 out of the 16 looking for jobs have so far had job offers," DevBootcamp's Lachy Groom wrote in an email. "Almost everyone has had an exceptional amount of interviews (I think the average might be 8 each). We're expecting a very high job rate within the next few weeks."

NETWORK. Entrepreneur Week, an event that brings established entrepreneurs, industry leaders and investors together to foster opportunities and relationships, began on Monday and will continue through tomorrow. Tickets are still available for some of the week-ending talks and events. Check 'em out here.

BLOG WAVE. Tidal, a company that provides tools to bloggers and publishers to help them share and be shared on similar blogs, just announced its 250,000 post milestone and three new partnerships. Tidal is loading up the Sony Music Popmarket Backstage site with reviews, photos, users and content creators eager to promote and share. Neighborhoodies, a T-shirt and hoodie company, is moving from textiles to terabytes as Tidal breathes life into their site with style posts, restaurant write ups and travel tips all focused on NYC. Finally, Seatgeek, a third party tickets site, is getting the Tidal treatment as well, as members talk about tour dates and their favorite and most anticipated shows.

NET-WORKS. Things just got a little bit faster on Staten Island. AT&T recently announced the expansion of their 4G LTE network which means mobile internet could be up to 10 times faster on those devices.

LUNCH MONEY. Education startup 2tor has obtained a $10 million line of credit from Comerica Bank.

COLLIDE. Kaleidoscope, a new way to shop for street fashion by browsing a mix of submitted and professional photos, is now on iOS.

MOMMA. Shapeways, a platform for creating and sharing 3D designs, is holding a Mother's Day make-a-thon. Participants can turn any flat two-dimensional design into a three-dimensional plastic or metal work of art. For Mother's Day, it certainly beats a stale store-bought card. Order by April 22 for metal and April 29 for plastic to get those gifts in time for dia de los madres.

JOBS. Bitly needs a new sales research associate. Acclivity is looking for a UI/UX designer and Python back end developer. Send a snazzy email. What's Watched has an opening for a sales director with three years of experience. Email Burr. News.me would like new senior iOS and Python engineers. Torsh needs a technical cofounder and chief architect to develop web and mobile apps.

Betabeat will be getting some new neighbors June 6th, when ten start-ups move into Times Square offices for a three month accelerator program run by Entrepreneurs Roundtable.

“We are very excited to have received interest from such a wide group of top-flight entrepreneurs for our inaugural ERA program,” said Murat Aktihanoglu, managing director. “We are thrilled with the group of companies which will be participating, and we look forward to working with them and our extensive mentor network to help these companies succeed.”

As part of their participation in ERA, each startup will receive a $25,000 investment, access to 180+ mentors and three months of free office space at the ERA office in exchange for an 8 percent equity stake--higher than the price usually demanded by other more established accelerators TechStars, DreamIt and Y Combinator.

The mentors include the same cast of local stars that filled the room at TechStars New York's recent demo day: Fred Wilson, David Pakman, Howard Morgan and Esther Dyson.

The ER program also includes seven resident technologists who specialize in areas like software development, user experience design and android development, who can provide hands on assistance for the start-up teams. Legal advice will be provided during the summer free of charge by Gunderson Dettmer, so get as much pro-forma paperwork squared away as you can kids!

The programs managing directors are Murat Aktihangolu, Jonathan Axelrod and Charles Kemper.

Here they are, in alphabetical order.

BuzzTable - BuzzTable puts the "old school" table buzzer on your phone, establishing a direct line of communication between the restaurant and their customer. The focus is customer retention, incentivizing customers to return through loyalty rewards, deals, and a more personalized relationship.

Centzy - U.S. consumers spent $540B on local services like haircuts, massages, oil changes, and yoga classes in 2010, yet over 80% of local service businesses do not post prices and hours online. Centzy is a new search engine where consumers can find accurate prices, hours, and ratings for every service in their city.

LetGive - LetGive provides a platform that connects application developers, charities, and socially conscious consumers. The platform allows developers to turn their applications into fundraising vehicles for nonprofits and charities in the LetGive network. The entire donation and distribution process is managed seamlessly by LetGive.

Nabfly - Nabfly is a mobile tagging platform that lets people scan posters with their phones and engage with a brand through a native application. Nabfly makes it easy to remember and interact with the cool things you see walking around a city.

numberFire - numberFire is an analytics platform that uses quantitative modeling to bring new insights and analysis to the world of sports.

Parking Panda - Parking Panda is a mobile, real-time parking discovery tool. It enables parking space owners to rent out their underutilized spaces to a community of drivers. People in need of parking can save money and time by finding a place to park and paying right from their phone.

Pricing Engine - Pricing Engine is a business intelligence service for digital marketers. It provides users a simple visual interface to discover actionable insights for improvement. The service includes patentpending advertising optimization and valuation across the full range of creative and targeting options, media choices, and pricing models.

Public Stuff - PublicStuff’s web-based solution addresses the service needs of both local governments and residents by increasing consumer participation while also driving down costs for public agencies. The municipal platform allows agencies to cost-effectively manage communications with the public and better manage the delivery of services. The consumer platform allows the public to request a variety of services.

Sitesimon - Sitesimon makes it easy to find and enjoy new content online. Users can share their browsing seamlessly, connect with what their friends and others are looking at, and be recognized for discovering sites that others love too.

WebThriftStore - WebThriftStore enables anyone to turn their unused "stuff" into tax-deductible, charitable donations. The product makes it easy to offer anything online, and then allows consumers to use their social networks to convert it into cash for the charity of their choice.

Q - You always remember the ones that got away. Tell us about the startup you regret passing on the most.

A - I don't regret any. Life is too short to regret much. But, I have missed my fair share of big hits. We passed on FlipVideo, ultimately we were right and ultimately the market confirmed out judgement, since the product is now dead. But we could have gotten in before Cisco, and that would have been a huge win.

A - The last thing you want to hear from a founder is...

Q - I would say, "these are conservative numbers" or "this is a quick flip".

A - What “me too” trend should we avoid / invest in?

Q - More VCs should invest in Four Loko competitors; huge market! Just kidding, we as a firm tend to focus on the market we know. I think there is money to be made in everything, even me too Groupon clones. The question is, can a small business wedge out the big incumbent. Perhaps they have a geographic or platform advantage.

A - What’s the strangest pitch you've heard?

Q - I don't think your reader base wants to hear about that stuff. I get my fair share of emails over the transom for strange idea, but they go in the same bucket as the Nigerian prince in need of extra cash.

A - What’s the best way to ride out a bubble?

Q - Sit on the sidelines, watch, and learn as much as you can. Have a beer. If everyone knows its a bubble, then its not a bubble. It’s about being disciplined, because there was plenty of money made in the dot-com time frame, even though companies imploded, plenty of people made money. You just need to learn as much as you can because the cycle will repeat.

A - Explain, without jargon, what the word pivot means to you?

Q - It means standing on one leg and twirling until you're dizzy.
