Jason Kincaid

Blogger Jason Kincaid (Observer Media Power Bachelor #18 in the class of 2011 for those keeping track), is leaving TechCrunch. Mr. Kincaid wrote about the move in an entry in his personal blog, posted today:

Sure, there have been some rough times — and the last six months have been dreary — but to tinge this farewell post with an overwhelming sense of sadness or anger wouldn’t do justice to wealth of experience, memories, and friends I’ve racked up during my time here. And besides, my Professional Blogger instincts are telling me I should save up my criticisms toward the AOL regime for a future post.

Mr. Kincaid also said he is "not really sure" what he'll do next but has "several options."

Michael Arrington, Mr. Kincaid's former boss, was characteristically blunt about his own feelings regarding Mr. Kincaid's exit, noting many "amazing" staffers have recently left the tech blogging giant and writing that he was "sad" to learn of Mr. Kincaid's jumping ship. "It's a big loss for TechCrunch to lose Jason now," Mr. Arrington wrote, "Whatever he does next, it will be amazing."

Hopefully Mr. Kincaid's future endeavors will afford him more opportunities to get away from the gnashing teeth of the Big Blog Machine and "look at all the cabs and tall buildings everywhere."
