Twitter’s six-second-video app, Vine, has only been around since January, and some naysayers still insist it’s a pointless diversion. But with the news that a Vine-produced ad will be shown on a billboard during Monday Night Football tonight, it’s becoming more and more evident that the app is a useful tool for corporations.

The Internet, once the exclusive domain of neckbearded adult male virgins, is now being overrun by bros who watch football online and on their mobile devices more and more.
Three’s a trend, and AdWeek found five tech reporters who left behind the dour world of journalism for a shot at the startup big time: Marshall Kirkpatrick of ReadWriteWeb, Saul Hansell of HuffPo/AOL, and MG Siegler among them. “But standout examples aside, not all journalists are the business brainiacs they think they are,” writes AdWeek writer Ki Mae Heussner, who missed Dan Frommer among many others.
Dylan Byers has been the go-to scribe at AdWeek for profile pieces intent on knocking their subject down a peg or two. We’ve enjoyed watching him take aim at a few Observerites in recent months.
