Uber Is Bringing Much-Needed Private Chefs to the Hamptons This Weekend

All we can do is read the menu items and die a little inside.

We don’t know what it is with startups and their obsession with offering special services to Hamptonites. They have many of the same apps the rest of us do, only with perks: helicopter rides, ice luges and now, private chefs.

This weekend, Uber will deliver private chefs to Hamptonites who are holding summer soirees, Uber told Betabeat. The chefs are provided by Kitchensurfing, an app that allows users to book a private chef, or budding cooks to set up impromptu restaurants in their homes.

The summer BBQ’s are available starting Saturday, and the four-course menu’s offerings include like include summer cobbler with mangos and cinnamon, crème brûlée donuts and melon crostada with mint gelato.

The chefs show up, prep the food, serve, clean and vanish all in a 45-minute time frame. All you need to provide is a kitchen, a hungry crowd and a pile of money.
