All you selfie‐eschewers can cram it now, because the form has officially been legitimized. Annie Leibovitz, one of the best‐known and most highly‐respected photographers of our time, has been caught taking a selfie.

The photog wielded a front‐facing cell phone camera to capture her own visage this Wednesday, and a Getty lensman captured the moment. Ms. Leibovitz was celebrating the release of her upcoming coffee table book at the Chateau Marmont (as one does) when the urge to selfie struck her, the New York Post reports.

Now only one question remains: where do we find the secret Instagram account to which she no doubt posted this?
