Surviving These Shoddy Bars Will Get You a $10 Hailo Discount

You don't even have to order a Coors Light.

Good news: taxi hailing app Hailo and Coors Light are partnering to give out $10 cab credits at participating bars. Bad news: You’ll have to go to places like Johnny Utah’s to get it.

It’s part of the startup’s #CelebrateSafe program that’s hoping to make the holiday season a bit safer for those blacked out on mulled wine. “We’ll be collecting your awesome photos and reposting so others know to #CelebrateSafe!,” the website writes.

From now until Jan. 5, 2014, the two companies are cracking down on drunk driving by offering an alternative method that isn’t driving a car or puking in the middle of the subway.

Similar to a drunk physical challenge, there are a few steps if you wish to partake in it. First, you have to find a participating bar (there’s a lot in Midtown, a few in Brooklyn including the Applebee’s and like, five, in Queens), locate a card that has a discount code on it and apply it to your Hailo session. And boom, you’re home free.

The offer can only be used once, but at least that $10 off is enough to get you a few bottles of Gatorade the next morning.
