Prudish and old fashioned advertisers have traditionally eschewed advertising on porn websites out of fear of tarnishing their brands or turning away more staid clientele. But with the fact that porn accounts for 30 percent of all web traffic–and advertising on porn sites is much, much cheaper than running banner ads on places like Google–a handful of pioneering companies have taken to slipping into virgin territory by placing their ads alongside videos of people banging.

The most recent is Eat24, a food delivery service that, upon realizing that many of their customers were actual porn stars, decided to look into advertising on some of the major porn hubs. What they found is that advertising on porn sites isn’t as hard as it looks.

Eat24 said its campaign has been “kicking ass” by every metric, plus it cost 90 percent less to run the porn ads than on traditional networks. New customer retention was also four times higher than from Facebook ads. It probably helps that their ads, plastered with copy like “BLT WITH YOUR BDSM?”, are pretty amazing.

Wonder how this has affected delivery guy porn fantasies.
