You know how when you go to an important work conference, all you can think about is stopping off at a nearby titty bar afterwards to appreciate some local flavor? One Oracle employee can certainly relate, as the San Francisco Chronicle reports that his company is currently being sued for failing to cough up the $33,545 he spent on lap dances during last year’s Oracle OpenWorld Fest, a giant conference that takes place yearly in San Francisco.
Oracle’s Jose Manuel Gomez Sanchez reportedly used his company issued American Express card to charge $33,540 worth of sexy services at the Tenderloin’s New Century Theater, spread out over two different visits. He used the card to purchase “Club Dollars” which can be used to purchase lap dances. Oracle declined to pay the bill two months later, hence the suit.
New Century claims it’s San Francisco’s number-one all-nude gentlemen’s club, and visitors can choose a number of hotties, such as those named “Lyberty” or “Passion,” to perform for them privately in a themed room. The club even offers a convention discount, where you can get the cost of entry knocked down if you show your Oracle badge.
This year’s Oracle conference is about to start, so word to the wise: maybe pay in Bitcoin this time.
