Every millennial’s favorite TV science teacher is apparently putting down his Bunsen burner for a pair of dancing shoes. According to a press release, Bill Nye the Science Guy is joining the illustrious cast of Dancing With the Stars for its 17th season. Cool. Cool cool.

Mr. Nye joins the ranks of other tech and science elite, such as Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak, who have tried their best to not embarrass themselves while doing complicated dance routines for which they are completely untrained for the sheer entertainment of the dumbfounded public. It’s sort of like The Hunger Games, but the last person standing gets rewarded for being a good dancer, not a good murderer.

“TV personality Bill Nye, known to kids simply as his character ‘The Science Guy,’ will explore the world of dancing this season,” reads the release. “The mechanical engineer has a passion for science and is writing a new children’s book about energy.”

Hope he has…chemistry…with his dance partner.
