Rule number one of trolls: don’t feed them.

Weeds star Mary Louise Parker seems to have missed that memo. In an interview with News Corps Australia, the actress said that the Internet’s penchant for “bitchiness” and “meanness” has made her want to quit acting. All of those nasty comments, all of those self-loathing anons attacking her character: it’s simply too much for her.

“The world has gotten too mean for me, it’s just too bitchy,” she said. “All the websites and all the blogging and all the people giving their opinion and their hatred … it’s all so mean-spirited, it’s all so critical.”

Ms. Parker admitted she prefers a simpler life: baking, writing for Esquire, caring for her goats. “Throw my internet in the lake,” she proclaimed. Not sure it works like that but we appreciate the enthusiasm.

Maybe she should just keep her Internet browsing to the confines of BuzzFeed. No haters!
