Even Astronauts Take Selfies

Better than doing space chores.

It turns out Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano does get to have some fun aboard the International Space Station. When last we heard from him, he was forced to perform his space chores like sweeping up moon dust and folding the space laundry. But now that those are taken care of, Mr. Parmitano is allowed to let loose the way earthlings do: selfie time.

“This sure beats any ‘selfie’ I’ve done up to now,” Mr. Parmitano tweeted early this morning, along with a picture of the reflection in his astronaut helmet.

It was hard to see with all that gear on, but we’re sure he was making a duck face.
