No doubt he appreciates the gesture.

Not sure whether to file this one under “slacktivism” or “radical chic.” The AP reports that Vivienne Westwood has dedicated her latest batch of menswear to Bradley Manning, who’s been in prison since 2010 for his data dump to Wikileaks.

The AP says:

“During the show for next summer, presented Sunday, the second day of Milan Fashion Week, models walked down the runway wearing a large badge with a picture of the soldier on it, and the word “TRUTH” written at the bottom in bold white letters on a red background.”

Ms. Westwood herself wore one of the badges, plus a pair of stockings with “climate” on one leg and “revolution” on the other. For what it’s worth, the Post describes the collection as “casual chic with African references.” So, yeah.
