The Pitch Season 2
For Season 2 of The Pitch, we asked you to weigh in on which of the 20 startups in this year’s class should score the chance to pitch SoftBank Capital’s Nikhil Kalghatgi and Lerer Ventures’ Steve Schlafman and vie for a $10,000 prize. Thousands of votes were cast and 10 startups proceeded to the next round.
The companies arrived at Betabeat’s offices in the New York Observer building armed with their elevator pitches. Which founders have the right mix of passion, business acumen and innovation to woo the judges? Will it be the duo trying to revolutionize residential real estate in New York? The hacker and designer looking for a way to showcase freelance work? Or the former college residential advisors developing a platform to solve the quintessential roommate dilemma of whose turn it is to buy the TP?
Last year’s finalists went on to raise six and seven figure seed rounds. Tune in every Tuesday and Thursday to watch your favorite startups pitch their concepts and see whose idea will be the next big thing.
