It’s the first day of spring, and the first day New York has truly seen the sun in what feels like weeks. And guess what? It’s also Macaron Day.
Started in 2010 by chef François Payard, Macaron Day celebrates the delectable French pastry that comes in a bunch of pretty pastel colors and delicious flavors. Today bakeries around the city will be giving away one free macaron to each patron who says they’re there for Macaron Day. Feel free to actually buy some though–participating locations will donate a portion of today’s macaron sales to City Harvest.
Luckily for us Internetty folk, the people behind Macaron Day have prepared the below map to help you find local bakeries that are participating today. Bon appetit!
