Many thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s live video chat session with James Wahba, CEO and cofounder of Projective Space. If you did not have a chance to connect, make sure to check out his videos. This Friday our expert Jennifer Berrent, a partner at WilmerHale in the Corporate Practice and Emerging Company Group, is taking your legal questions from 12 to 1 pm.
Jennifer has over 15 years working with entrepreneurs, early-stage investors as well as venture capital funds. Headquartered in Boston and Washington, D.C., WilmerHale is a global law firm with a strong New York presence, and it was Ms. Berrent who led the firm to establish a relationship with WeWork Labs. Previously, she was Associate General Counsel at the startup Longitude, which developed a derivatives trading platform. The company was eventually acquired by Goldman Sachs.
From how to avoid lawsuits between cofounders and issues with term sheets down the road to questions about working in stealth mode and protecting your equity as your company grows, Jennifer offers insight into the legal complexities involved in starting a business.
The live video chat is a one-on-one conversation, so feel free to ask Jennifer any questions you may have – it’ll be just the two of you. While you wait for your turn to chat, you can check out prerecorded advice from Jennifer and our previous experts David Fudge and James Wahba.
