Meet NYC’s Very Own Meggings Enthusiast: Internet Entrepreneur Mark Dorosz

Although the startup sector’s satorial attitude could best be described as business shabby, some New York entrepreneurs aren’t afraid to embrace their fashion-forward side. Take, for instance, Mark Dorosz, director of biz dev at education startup Interactive Services, who just this morning became the poster child for a new trend sweeping our fine city: meggings. Yes, men wearing leggings.

The Telegraph reports that the trend has already taken Manhattan by storm. Proof positive of this is “proud megger” Mr. Dorosz, whose enthusiasm for meggings seems to be eclipsed only by his fondness for his own gams. “Male tights are so much more comfortable than skinny jeans,” he told The Telegraph. “I’ve always had good legs and it’s nice to show them off all year round.”

Mr. Dorosz, it seems, works at a startup that eschews the traditional programmer garb for avant garde fashion. “Perhaps people will be laughing around this in 12 months’ time but for now they come up to me and say, ‘You look awesome,'” he added, according to The Telegraph. Or perhaps his coworkers, well-trained in the art of two-facedness, are simply engaging in that age-old workplace bonding activity: talking shit about him behind his back.

Will meggings become the next sartorial startup staple? Considering how comfy they’d be to wear during all-night codeathons, and the expansion they’d provide for pizza food babies, we certainly wouldn’t be surprised.
