(Photo: screencap)

Just last week, new Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and her husband, Zack Bogue, welcomed a bouncing baby boy into the world. A tweet from Mr. Bogue followed, but don't hold your breath for the pretty printed birth announcements just yet. As was reported last week by the New York Times, the littlest Yahoo will likely be named based partially on input from a large circle of friends and family. “Name TBD — suggestions welcome!” wrote Ms. Mayer in an email obtained by the Times.

Now, via a tipster, we have what looks like it might be the hub for where they are crowdsourcing Baby Bogue's name. The source said that the parents have sent out another group email, this one pointing to a poll on a startup site called “Belly Ballot,” asking everyone to choose among six names, ranging from Zachary (presumably after his dad) to the more avant garde Neval.

However, the page's authenticity has yet to be confirmed. We are still waiting for a response from Yahoo that the high-profile couple has opted to use this very public format and that this is even their list. (Belly Ballot refused to comment either way, citing a strict privacy policy. That said, last week the company was making hay of the notion that Ms. Mayer is creating some hot new parenting trend by soliciting input.) It’s entirely possible we’re being faked out by a prankster with an unexplained interested in upvoting Jackson. It seems suspect, for instance, that no one has voted yet. And, unlike the previous missive soliciting names, none of Ms. Mayer's friends has tweeted out the news.

All this talk of “having it all” is almost enough to make us forget motherhood sounds like an easier job than reviving a company many have written off. For instance, we're going to go vote for Manning, after our favorite tribe of football stars, rather than watch Yahoo's stock drop.
