If there's anything the '90s screen gem Hackers taught us, it's that kids left to their own devices with devices can wreak a whole lot of havoc. Some of them can even get around parental monitoring software. Ring the alarm!

We're guessing Reddit user "mtgilb" has seen Hackers, as they posted a thread in the NYC subreddit looking for teenage "hackers" ages 13-17 who might be interested in appearing on a daytime talk show.

So far, the thread has garnered 0 upvotes, a clear indication that Redditors are uninterested in helping the poor intern undoubtedly saddled with submerging themselves into Reddit's seedy underbelly only to emerge clutching two pasty guys fresh from a LAN party.

"I work for daytime talk show and I am looking to do a piece on young hackers (specifically teens who can get around parental monitoring software) and you would like to find people to interview and possibly bring on the show," reads the brief post. Obviously only real hackers know that their parents keep the monitoring software password in a Word document on the desktop.

But what talk show could mtgilb be casting for? One Redditor is apparently putting his bets on Maury. "I'm assuming there's a paternity test at some point in the show as well," commented a user named kingmegavishnu.

We've PM'd mtgilb to ask what show it is but haven't heard back.
