Congrats to Greg Galant and Lee Semel for another amazing edition of the Shorty Awards (“Oscars for social media peeps”). In case you missed it, here’s my blog post with the highlights.
Dave McClure and the folks at 500 Startups are organizing a one-day conference called Mama Bear (yep, thats whats its called) for startups, platforms, and thought leaders to explore new technology for moms, kids and families (which is a whopping $2.1 trillion market).
On April 15, Brooklyn Law School’s Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy (aka BLIP) is hosting their first ever “Legal Hackathon,” an all-day event featuring a bunch of interesting panels & workshops with speakers including Tim Wu, Art Chang, Andrew Rasiej, professor Jonathan Askin and others.
April 19 is NY Tech Day, a ‘Science Fair’ for tech startups to get their feet wet in the NYC tech community. They’re also holding a competition where one lucky startup will win a free booth to exhibit. Go check them out.
