Tumblr and the New York Tech Meetup just announced a partnership. Tumblr, which demo'ed at NYTM in November 2007 (ancient history!), has signed on as an Annual Sustaining Sponsor for the not-for-profit organization. Tumblr joins sponsors Microsoft and Google, Annual Sustaining Sponsors, and Wilson Sonsini and DFJ Gotham, Founding Sponsors.

“Our NYTM demo back in 2007 was a pivotal moment in Tumblr’s history, and we’re really excited to give back to this incredible organization,” Tumblr CEO David Karp said in a press release. “As Tumblr has grown over the years, so has the NYTM, and we could not be more thrilled to support the monthly meetup as well as the larger mission to promote the NY tech industry.”
