Style for Hire, a Brooklyn-based startup co-founded by Stacy London (the "Shut up!" half of TLC's "What Not to Wear") announced today that it picked up a $1,075,000 angel round from Golden Seeds. The three-year-old online platform connects consumers with a network of trained and certified personal stylists who offer in-home wardrobe consultations and shopping assistance. Sort of like Zaarly meets Gilt Groupe?

Style for Hire says it will use the money to launch nationally and build its relationships with stylists, partners, and clients.

In a press release, Ms. London, whom Betabeat has spotted shopping around Brooklyn before, said:

"We're building an army of veteran stylists, each of whom has been assessed by me -- and our team -- and trained in our methodology. We believe that style should be accessible and affordable, but most of all, it should be fun."

Since she's getting all entrepreneurial, how about an episode on what not to wear to a pitch meeting? Some people (and their girlfriends) might benefit from professional help.
