Stamen, a design and technology studio in San Francisco has put together the best visualization we’ve seen to help you picture just how insanely Airbnb’s popularity is spreading around New York.
On the studio’s site, Stamen put together maps of both New York and San Francisco from 2008 to 2011. The brighter the block, the more Airbnb listings.
The eight-slide visualization on their site shows a few pink bars in 2008 morphing into a bright pink heat map that looks like its saturated almost all of Manhattan and hipster Brooklyn.
C’mon, Queens, get in the game.
