Sound hazy? He knows. "We're still figuring that out. Hence the beta/invite business. But at its core, Stellar helps you discover and keep track of your favorite things on the web. If you like dorking around on Twitter or blogs or whatever, you'll probably enjoy Stellar," the site says. Regardless, it's one of the <a href="http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://networkeffect.allthingsd.com/files/2011/03/Stellar-380x302.png&amp;imgrefurl=http://networkeffect.allthingsd.com/20110309/jason-kottke-launches-stellar-bookmarking-site/%3Freflink%3DATD_mktw_quotes&amp;usg=__r7AqH-3P-8OJOjYkwD8Jl1eby8c=&amp;h=302&amp;w=380&amp;sz=125&amp;hl=en&amp;start=0&amp;zoom=1&amp;tbnid=qBKzZw_-ahl_kM:&amp;tbnh=152&amp;tbnw=191&amp;ei=0pLvTaK4B8Hc0QHF2NzaAw&amp;prev=/search%3Fq%3Djason%2Bkottke%2Bstellar%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1024%26bih%3D653%26tbm%3Disch&amp;um=1&amp;itbs=1&amp;iact=hc&amp;vpx=543&amp;vpy=91&amp;dur=496&amp;hovh=200&amp;hovw=252&amp;tx=104&amp;ty=114&amp;page=1&amp;ndsp=13&amp;ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&amp;biw=1024&amp;bih=653">five best things</a> on the internet.<!--more--></p>
<p>Stellar aggregates <a href="http://stellar.io/interesting">bookmarks and favorited items</a> from across services like Twitter, Flickr, Vimeo, and soon Instagram and Mlkshk. A select number of alpha users including <a href="http://stellar.io/anildash">Anil Dash</a> and <a href="http://stellar.io/dens">Dennis Crowley</a> and <a href="http://stellar.io/naveen">Naveen Selvadurai</a> and <a href="http://stellar.io/gruber">John Gruber</a> are playing with the service now, but Mr. Kottke has shut down sign-ups until he clears his several-thousand user long wait list (7,000 people <a href="http://kottke.org/11/06/the-state-of-stellar">signed up</a> in the first 24 hours).</p>
<p>He's also working on a "pretty major feature" in terms of changes to the site's backend. (Stealthy Kottke!) In the meantime, he's fielding invite requests and bug reports via <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/yo_stellar">Twitter</a>.</p>
