The Onion, Michael Ian Black’s Witstream (the 24-hour comedy ticker!), Buzzfeed, BBDO, HowAboutWe, Adkeeper, Fashism, and Hashable are among the panels selected by a combination of Internet Week organizers and the popular vote after more than 10,000 clicks were cast on more than 250 proposals.
The winners were selected in six categories: Startups, Social Media, Technology, Advertising & Creativity, Entertainment, Mobile.
Two entrants in each category were awarded a one hour slot on Internet Week New York’s main stage, one chosen by the public and the other by a team of experts. The speakers include Alex Blagg (A Bajillion Hits), Josh Harris (The Wired City), Suroosh Alvi (Vice), Jared Hecht (GroupMe), Soraya Darabi (Foodspotting), Ashley Granata (Fashism), Kris Kiger (R/GA), Sean Mills (Nerve.com), Charlie O’Donnell (First Round Capital), Anthony DeRosa (Reuters Media) and Scott Belsky (Behance).

Internet Week is June 6 to 13 this year. It’s put on by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences in cooperation with the City of New York and The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. The event’s organizers predict more than 20,000 people will come for the fourth annual festival.
